Fungus Gnats, One of the most common and annoying pests  that can be a harmful if left untreated   

 *Causes: 

1- Untreated plants from large commercial nursery's

2- The super common "miracle" cactus soil (other soil brands can also have them) 

3- Wet soil all the time

*Cures: (in order of effectiveness)

1- Mosquito bits / Dunks  spread on top of soil or in water 

2- Change soil to something non organic and fast draining 

3- Top cover soil with at least 1/2 inch of fine rock , turface or course sand 

4- Hydrogen peroxide-  one part Peroxide and 4 parts water. Water heavily with this mixture 

5-Neem oil (be very careful with this, it can/will damage plants 

6- Sticky fly strips

7- (Because they are cool)   Carnivorous butterwort plants-
